Educational Qualification: M.COM from Calcutta University.
Present Status: Free lance Artist and a Teacher.
Schooling in Art: Learnt Indian style of painting in Water colour (Wash) on paper, silk, ivory, Oil painting, pastel etc. under the able guidance of Late Indra Dugar as mentor, an eminent artist and disciple of Archarya Nandalal Bose (W.E.F 1965 till his sudden demise in 1988)

• Received “Indra Dugar Award” for excellence in Indian Style of Painting presented by “Vichar Manch” a renowned organization of Art and Culture at Rotary Sadan Kolkata in 1998.
• Received Award for excellence in Indian Style of Painting from Birla Academy, Kolkata in Annual Exhibition - 2006.
